Melissa Thompson provides arbitration, mediation, and related dispute resolution services, with extensive experience in complex commercial matters, manufacturing, product development and licensing, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare, payor-provider, reimbursement, and technology.

She is an Arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Commercial, Life Sciences, and Healthcare panels, and mediator on the AAA Mediation Panel. She is appointed to the American Health Law Association (AHLA) arbitration and mediation rosters.

She is a Fellow with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and member of the Boston International Arbitration Council (BIAC) Advisory Committee. She is the former Chair of the AHLA Dispute Resolution Services Council, and former Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association Health Law Section.

Before forming MThompsonADR, Melissa served as an arbitrator and mediator and advised companies, executives, and boards as both in-house and outside legal counsel, including manufacturers, distributors, technology companies, pharmaceutical and medical device corporations, academic medical centers, research institutions, hospital systems, PBMs, physician practices, national pharmacy chains, and other organizations operating in highly regulated environments.

Her work has focused on dispute resolution, commercial contracting, business conflicts, compliance, complex litigation, and administrative proceedings.
